On June 9th Manny Pacquiao will be defending his WBO crown against Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It is a fight that, for some reason, many people see as a blow out in favor of Pacquiao, and there doesn’t seem that there is much buzz for this fight.

Manny Pacquiao is the eight time division world champion and the so called pound for pound king. Last November 2011, he won against Manuel Marquez in their controversial trilogy fight. I said controversial since lots of boxing analysts can’t believe the decision of the judges. After that fight, he was aiming and looking forward to fight for Mayweather but because of some negotiation that is unacceptable to him, the fight didn’t push through but hopefully it will, this end of the year. We will be watching and waiting for this fight, as they say this will be the greatest and biggest fight in the boxing history and call it “The Mega Fight”.

Manny Pacquiao boxing record :- Won 54 (KO 38) + Lost 3 (KO 2) + Drawn 2 = 59, Rounds Boxed 353 KO% 64.41

Timothy Bradley boxing record :- Won 28 (KO 12) + Lost 0 (KO 0) + Drawn 0 = 29, Rounds Boxed 194 KO% 41.38

Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley promises to be a great show on June 9, but many believe they know the ending: a Pacquiao knockout victory. But what if Bradley’s skills, youth, speed and determination actually provided the formula for an upset? What if Bradley could actually win against Pacquiao?

Manny Pacquiao may be distracted. He may be acting weird, he may be studying the Bible every night and he may not be displaying the same kind of cocksure attitude we’re used to seeing from a boxer in the weeks preceding a huge fight. But that doesn’t mean Pacquiao won’t dominate Timothy Bradley on June 9, because after all, he has one thing Bradley won’t have for a long, long time: experience. Pacquiao enters the fight with a 54-3-2 record and 38 knockouts, whereas Bradley—who, at 28, certainly has the edge on Pacquiao in terms of youth—is undefeated in just 28 matches with 12 knockouts. Many are predicting this to be an upset victory for Bradley because Pacquiao has seemed “distracted” and “lackadaisical” lately, according to promoter Bob Arum and trainer Freddie Roach. On top of that, Bradley is younger and hungry because, as he told the Los Angeles Times‘ Lance Pugmire, “This is my only chance to be a superstar.” Bradley knows he has no choice but to beat Pacquiao if he wants to get to the next level, and Pacquiao, by all indications, is ripe for the picking.
